Activities - Around this area.....

		Bright and surrounding areas provide excellent places to go hiking, a photographers delight and a wonderful driving area, but while this in the fields around don't think your too far away from towns. Nearby there are many great towns where you can drive from the High Country Motor Inn for a very nice trip. With local lookouts above most towns you can see why many people keep coming back to Bright and this region. With Apex Lookout and Huggins Lookout just above Bright, Powers Lookout near Whitfield and lookouts on Mt Buffalo, Mt Hotham and Falls creek you can easily get excellent views of this wonderful part of Victoria.
		Head out into the bush or go for short drives to Beechworth, The Local Wineries or into the Kiewa Valley.
		If you want to go up onto the mountains for a drive, Mt Buffalo, Mt Hotham and Falls Creek are close enough to get there for lunch, have great afternoon then have enough time to return back to the High Country Motor Inn in the same day.
				This area provides some of the best Bushwalking tracks in Victoria, the Rivers allow for Kayaking or Canoes or simply go for a swim or go fishing. The Rail Trail nearby goes from Bright to Wangaratta via Myrtleford with another trail going to Beechworth from Everton. Other Activities available nearby include Paragliding and Hang gliding and for the more adventurous, Rock Climbing and Abseiling on Mt Buffalo can be done.
